Scimmie Volanti
Before Photos:
This is our original dress. It was an outdated bridesmaids dress. The skirt had so much fabric that when we took it apart we could have covered a stage. The sleeves were very large and had bows on the sides.
This is a wedding dress we also used. We only used the sheer top layer in our dress.

Final Garment
This dress was turned from a tacky hot pink bridesmaids dress into a short cocktail dress. The first major step we took was taking off all of the excess fabric (ex.long puffy bottom/ over sized sleeves) and seam ripping the top portion of the dress from the skirt. Once we had all the fabric we needed we began the transformation process. We made the top into a fitted corset with hooks on the back for closure and made a skirt out of the pink fabric from the original skirt. We then attached the white overlay from the wedding dress to the skirt and attached the skirt and top together to make a dress. For accessories we made a ring out of some old black fabric and added pink sequins. We also added sequins to a pair of old stud earrings. To complete the desired look we paired the dress with a black leather jacket and some high black heels.
